ABOUT

I started as an importer of ethnographic materials, buying and selling trade beads, textiles and objects of art. In the late 80's I started designing and manufacturing silver beads in Mexico. By the early 90's I was designing silver parts and finishing them in my home studio in Tacoma, WA. Small collections of  jewelry that I showcased at my trade shows in New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, soon turned into a full line of handmade jewelry that changed the course of my business.  I juried into Handmade sections of the NY and SF Gift Shows. In 2001, I moved my studio into a commercial building in Tacoma and as my business grew so did my jewelry making skills and working in silver became my passion. My inspiration came from the rich textiles I collected, architecture from around the world, and the beauty in nature. Traveling through Japan inspired the "Temple Series" which has been the foundation of my designs. Today all of our work is done by hand in our studio in Tacoma. From metal cutting, shaping, filing and buffing, we are turning sheets of silver into small pieces of art. In 2008 we opened a small retail store in the front of our studio that also acts as a showroom for wholesale customers. Our work is sold throughout the United States in Museum Stores and galleries, gift shops, and fine women's clothiers. Our work has been sold internationally in Canada, Japan, Europe, and Central America.
